Our Programs
Giving Kids Hope Foundation supports children and teens in foster care, the families who care for them, and young adults aging out of the system. Here is how your support makes a difference.
H.O.P.E. Mentoring Program
Our mentors give foster kids of all ages guidance, encouragement and someone in their corner. Mentors show up for school events, extracurricular activities and life milestones, helping kids build a sense of belonging and community.
Therapy Support
Many children in foster care carry trauma that affects every part of their lives. We provide emotional support, coping strategies and a safe, nonjudgmental place to talk, focusing on how to move past the trauma and build self-esteem.
Financial Support
We provide essential everyday items like clothing, hygiene products and food so foster children have what they need. Meeting these basic needs gives kids a sense of stability and helps them feel valued and cared for.
Confidence Building
Our confidence-building programs help children and young adults recognize their strengths, develop self-esteem and build healthy relationships, giving them the resilience to thrive personally and socially.
School Supplies
Every summer our Annual School Drive provides backpacks, school supplies and other resources so children in foster care can start the school year prepared and ready to succeed.
Teen Moms in Foster Care
Teen mothers in foster care face unique challenges while raising a baby of their own. We connect them with education, parenting classes, mental health services, mentors and community support so they can build a brighter future for themselves and their children.
Aging Out of Foster Care
When young people leave foster care at 18, many have no safety net. We offer life skills training, mentoring and career guidance, and help with practical needs like first-apartment and utility deposits, furniture and a first grocery run. We stay in their corner for as long as they need us.
Beds for Fosters
Every foster child deserves a safe, comfortable bed. We provide beds to foster families and kinship placements so that a missing bed is never the reason a child cannot be welcomed into a loving home.
Annual Baby Drive
Each spring we collect diapers, wipes, bottles, new clothes, cribs and other baby essentials for infants and toddlers in foster care and for the teen moms we serve.
Outings and Extracurricular Activities
Positive experiences matter. From our GKH softball team to outings like snow tubing, these activities help foster kids build confidence, friendships and teamwork, and create happy memories.
Help us keep these programs going. Every gift goes directly to children in foster care.
