Giving Kids Hope Foundation is dedicated to enriching the lives of children living in foster care through our impactful programs.
Financial Support is dedicated to providing essential everyday items for foster care children ensuring they have access to necessities like clothing, hygiene and food. By focusing on these fundamental needs, we aim to give them a sense of stability and belonging, allowing them to thrive and feel valued and cared for.
H.O.P.E. is our mentoring program that caters to ages, providing guidance and support so that foster kids can have a sense of guidance, belonging and community. We actively engage in participation in school events, extracurricular activities and life milestones. We recognize the importance of these positive experiences and having someone in your corner cheering you on.
Therapy Support is a vital component of our mission addressing the emotional needs of children who face unique challenges. We assist children with emotional support, coping strategies and guidance to manage mental well-being which over time improves self-esteem. Instead of focusing on the past trauma, we focus on how to move past it. We provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment to discuss problems that they deal with.
Confidence Building are programs designed for overall development and well-being. We focus on empowering the children and young adults by helping them recognize their strengths, develop self-esteem and foster a sense of belonging. By creating a supportive environment we equip them with the tools they need to navigate challenges and build healthy relationships. These skills not only promote resilience but also pave the way for a successful future, allowing them to thrive both personally and socially.
Beds for Fosters is a program that assures that every foster child has a safe, comfortable bed to sleep in. Welcoming a foster child into your home is a compassionate and life-changing decision. To support foster families and kinship placements, we provide beds for these families. Our mission is to remove the barriers that prevent a loving family from offering a nurturing environment.
Outings and Extracurricular Activities plays a crucial role in the growth and development of foster children. These experiences create opportunities to build social skills, develop interests and gives a sense of belonging. Having faced numerous negative experiences, it's essential for foster children to engage in positive activities that promote their emotional well-being and help them create lasting memories. By participating in these activities, they can gain confidence, learn teamwork, and develop resilience, of which contribute to their overall personal growth.
Teen Mom's in Foster Care often lack the resources to care for their babies making the baby at a even higher risk. For a mother who endured a childhood filled with trauma and unmet emotional needs raising a child can be a daunting task. Teen mothers in foster care require special support. Our programs are designed support these moms by providing them with the resources they need to thrive. We have access to education, parenting classes, and mental health services to navigate their unique challenges. Additionally, we connect them with mentors and community support. Our aim is to help these young mothers build a brighter future for themselves and their children.
Aging Out of Foster Care provides essential support for children over the age of 18. We offer resources such as life skills training, mentorships and career guidance to empower them as they transition into independence. We assist in securing their first apartment, deposits for utilities, furnishings for apartment, food. We continue to provide a safety net for as long as needed. We give them a sense of community support and let them know they are not alone.
Foster Care Prevention was created to assist high-risk children and their families. The numbers of children entering foster care is going up every day. We believe the answer to lowering these numbers is to address issues that can lead to foster care. Keeping children with their family is always our goal. To do this we offer resources such as parenting education, financial aid, emotional support and much more.
